02:40 pm - Invasion Earth So the guitar store I take lessons out of and bought my first guitar and amps from is owned by two guys who are in a sci-fi punk rock band called Invasion Earth.
Invasion Earth is playing at Memory Lane, 2520 26th Ave. S., Minneapolis, tomorrow night, starting about 10:30 pm.
If you like punk, they might be worth listening to. :)
The band's slightly out of date website: http://www.invasionearth.net/
Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/invasionearth (Like most Myspace, its work friendly only if you can find the volume on the "jukebox" fast enough.)
They're really pretty good. If I didn't have to get up for a con call on Saturday, I'd go see them.

12:44 pm - Hey Liam Thanks for the note.
One of our email systems wouldn't let me respond.

03:45 pm - hmm... There are times when I am so completely frustrated with the SCA that I want to go and find another hobby. (Even the politics in the JSA community isn't as bad as this sometimes.)
And then there are times in which I am reminded how absolutely fantastic the people we have are.
This is one of those latter times.

10:55 am - hmm... LJfind, despite what they say, seems to be able to have access to some friends locked posts, such that you can read the entire post. (test it yourself if you like...I found several that I KNOW I shouldn't have been able to read.)
http://ljfind.livejournal.com/ says that to remove your journal from their indexing, if it is already there, you should check the setting that limits/minimizes your journal's inclusion in search engines, and make a public post. (See the "journal" "settings" menu for the checkbox.)
Accordingly, this is my public post...and I may be raising all sorts of hell soon if this doesn't work.

11:16 am - motorcycles again... Back when I was either living in St. Louis Park, or when I was living in Hopkins, I saw an adult continuing ed class on motorcycle repair.
Does anyone know of a school in town that teaches just a basic motorcycle repair course?
Thanks.
Edit: I can't believe I just used the word "town" to describe the Twin Cities metro area.

05:47 pm - Okay, this is cool. Garnered through a Making Light particle:
Someone with way too much time on their hands drew the Dragaeran Cycle of Houses.
Read Steven Brust if you don't know what I'm talking about.

12:15 pm - question I have just found a place that will buy my Samsung Blackjack (yes, I did just break down and rehitch myself to AT&T this week), (http://www.cellforcash.com Reputable and will buy my Blackjack back for a price that makes the E62 and the replacement Blackjack totally free.)
I have a Palm TX sitting on a shelf, gathering dust, and I was wondering if anyone knew a place that would buy those as well.

03:13 pm - sure why not...this should be interesting. The Meme ---------------------------------- 1 question... 1 chance... 1 honest answer... That's all you get...
Ask me 1 question. Any 1 question, anything, no matter how crazy it is. I'll give you an honest answer.
No catch. Except one. All comments will be screened so your question stays private between you and me, and only you will get to see my answer to your question.
PS: I'll probably email responses, if you leave an email address. I don't like the fact that I have to unscreen comments to answer them.
